Long ago there was a time when girls were not
sent to the schools. But now there is a great change in our thinking. Now both
boys and girls go to the schools. But the question arises whether boys and
girls should study in the same school and college.
As-far-as
primary education is concerned boys and girls study in the same school. But at
high, senior secondary and college stage the debate goes on. Some people are in
favour of co-education whereas the others are against it.
Those who are against co-education say that
boys and girls do not pay proper attention in studies while studying together. They
can fall a prey to sex. If boys and girls study together they fare better. There
is spirit of competition between them. They work hard and score good marks. They
know the opposite sex better. Their language becomes refined. Considering all
the aspects co-education is good for our country.
