Today I
am sharing with you a festival of fire in Hindu Mythology. It is commonly
called Lohri in the northern part of our country. It is celebrated with high
spirit of joy and fervour. All the people sit around a fire which was burn with
wooden pieces and wood pieces are go on adding to light it heavily. All the
participants sing around and dance around the fire. In the mean time popcorn
groundnut rewaries (Sweet made of sugar & Gur) put on in the fire and ask
for blessings of Goddess of fire. It is the beginning of festivals of the year
to come. Next day it is one of the most auspicious occasion of the star system
in Astrology. On this day The Sun enters in the zodiac sign of Capricorn.
