Vegetarian or Vegan Diet Helps Diabetics.

According to the PCRM, a vegan diet is shown to improve a diabetic’s health, especially people with Type 2 diabetes, and it is more effective than any medication. Furthermore, they noted that eating a low-fat vegan diet or a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet had helped many people with Type 2 diabetes control the blood sugar.

Since Type 2 diabetes is caused the body’s resistance to insulin, diabetes need to keep fatty foods out of their meals, which enables the insulin to better function in a diabetic’s body. And, many diabetics are then able to reduce their medication, or even stop taking their medication with the right vegan or vegetarian diet.
