We
love our families but we also love pie. We love our pets but we also love our
new shoes.
In
English that one word, love, is so all encompassing. It's come to mean
virtually anything that makes us feel happy.
Ironically
though, love has also come to be seen as something of a soppy, weak and wimpy
thing. "All we need is love", somehow sounds a little ridiculous in
today's world.
My
observation however, is that ideas and notions that sound trite and cliched are
usually actually true.
